THE REALITY

ORIGINAL POST

Today is a great day and I have seriously been considering my options for the Cure. Yesterday I didn't even want to deal with it. What a Difference a day makes. I know that I want to be around long enough to enjoy my Godchildren's children and many many of my good friends weddings. Life is a beautiful thing and when don't care about our bodies, we are telling ourselves something different.

Coping with Cancer

You may have just learned that you have cancer. Or you may be in treatment, finishing treatment, or have a friend or family member with cancer. Having cancer changes your life and the lives of those around you. Some of the changes you may face:
  • Different feelings come and go both during and after treatment.
  • Needing help with taking care of your children
  • Daily routines as you go to appointments and through treatment.
  • Relationships with others and knowing how to talk to them.
  • Your work-life
The information in this section is meant to help you cope with the many issues and concerns that occur when you have cancer. There are resources available to help you learn about the disease and about the people who can help you. Know that you are not alone.
For more detailed information, see our publications on coping. For more information on specific types of cancer, see our evidence-based PDQ information.

Taking Ownership
When I worked at Amtrust Bank my Manager at the Time, Fanny Fannie Walker, said to me Mark you “have to own it”. Fanny was always right, and I don’t care if she was wrong, Fanny was right. She remains one of the top People in my Memory as far as, no matter what the problem or triumphs, own it. Well I want to say to all my friends on here, GENTLEMAN, I am mainly talking to you but ladies, and it could mean you as well. If you are over 40 and have a family history of CANCER, HEART DISEASE, DEMENTIA or other serious diseases you MUST make it a point to be checked regularly for these diseases, whether there are symptoms or not. I had no symptoms; I listened to a friend telling us of what he had to go through for a Surgery procedure that was on his agenda. From this I took it upon myself to have my prostate checked. I have been proactive with the heart, colon, and other vital organs that need attention. Do this for everyone; yet do it for no one but you. No longer are the dark days when guys didn’t go to the Doctor because they were too manly. It takes A MAN to care about his health and well-being. All my Love BIG BEAR HUGS heart emoticon
